Craig Sheely's interest in photography began in the early 1980s and was due in large part to the influence of close friends who had cameras. In 1977 Mr. Sheely was involved in a car accident that left him a quadriplegic due to a spinal cord injury. Prior to his accident, Mr. Sheely was an amateur musician and alternated between playing the bass guitar and keyboards. No longer able to play any instruments, photography filled the void and quickly became a serious hobby. Eventually, Mr. Sheely enrolled in the Visual Arts/Photography Program at Harrisburg Area Community College located in Harrisburg, PA. In 1995 he graduated having earned a Certificate of Proficiency in the Visual Arts/Photography.
Mr. Sheely and his wife and their cat reside in the thriving metropolis of Littlestown, PA which is located in South Central PA near the somewhat well known community of Gettysburg, PA.
